The Kaishan KG420TH is a high-performance, diesel-powered split-type DTH drilling rig designed for operators who prioritize environmental compliance without sacrificing drilling power. Based on the proven KG420T platform, the “H” designation indicates the integration of a heavy-duty dust collection system. The core differentiator of the KG420TH is the standard QZA-120 dust collector, featuring a 12-filter array that effectively captures fine particulates during the drilling process. For sites requiring even higher filtration or when drilling holes exceeding 130mm, an optional QZA-140 collector with 16 filters is available. This system not only ensures a healthier environment for the crew but also protects the rig’s internal components from abrasive dust, extending the service life of the engine and hydraulic systems.

To account for the additional power requirements of the dust collection system, the KG420TH is equipped with an upgraded Yuchai YC4DK100-T304 engine. Delivering 73.5KW at 2200rpm, this engine provides the necessary headroom to run both the high-pressure hydraulics and the dust vacuum simultaneously, ensuring that penetration rates remain consistent even in the hardest rock (f=6-20).

Structurally, the rig features a thickened housing and a reinforced folding frame track system. The inclusion of a high-torque plunger walking motor and a 4-wheel drive setup allows the 5350KG machine to maneuver across rugged terrain and climb grades up to 30°. The track leveling system (±10°) ensures the rig maintains a stable vertical or angled position on uneven quarry floors, which is critical for hole accuracy.

Drilling capability remains top-tier, with a rotary torque of 3500N·m and a 3175mm feed stroke driven by a heavy-duty oil cylinder and roller chain mechanism. The rig handles Φ90-152mm holes with ease, making it a versatile tool for bench blasting in mining and structural foundations in construction. The beam and boom adjustment ranges allow for incredible flexibility, including horizontal drilling at heights as low as 350mm.
